The Scent

Why we made this fresh linen candle

Hablon is the handwoven cloth of Iloilo — patadyong plaids and soft cotton lengths from the looms of Miagao and Arevalo. This fresh linen candle smells the way that cloth feels: clean, light, honest.

The blend is fresh cotton and linen over the faintest musk, like laundry brought in from a sunny line. Of all our scents it's the most invisible — it doesn't announce itself, it just makes a room smell cared-for.

If you're buying a first candle for someone whose taste you don't know, this is the safe, excellent answer — it's the default pick in our gift guide, and it slips neatly into a gift set. Nobody dislikes clean.

How to keep a linen candle smelling clean

A "clean" scent has nowhere to hide — any smoke off an overgrown wick reads instantly. Hablon rewards the tidy routine: wick trimmed to 5 mm, burns capped around four hours, and a spot away from drafts so the flame sits still. Give it the standard full first melt (edge to edge, roughly two hours) and it stays even to the last centimeter; Candle Care 101 has the full checklist. Rinse the finished jar with warm soapy water — it's a pen cup now — or return it for ₱20 off your next order.

Questions

Hablon fresh linen candle: FAQ

What does a fresh linen candle smell like?

Like clean laundry dried in the sun: cotton and linen over a soft musk. It's the least "perfumey" scent in our range.

Is Hablon good for a bedroom or workspace?

Yes, it's ideal there. A clean scent doesn't compete with you, so it works in bedrooms, home offices and small condos where a strong candle would be too much.

Why is it called Hablon?

Hablon is Iloilo's handwoven cloth from the looms of Miagao and Arevalo. We wanted a scent that felt the way that fabric does: light, honest, sun-warmed.
