The Scent
Why we made this chocolate scented candle
Every Ilonggo grandmother has a batirol somewhere — the wooden whisk for thick tablea tsokolate on rainy mornings. This chocolate scented candle is that cup, down to the pinch of spice.
Dark cacao leads, softened with coconut milk and warmed with nutmeg. It's gourmand but not cloying — closer to a cup of pure tablea than to a candy shop.
We keep Tsokolate in the 4 oz mini: it's the perfect trial size, the usual pick for souvenir sets, and at ₱280 the easiest "just because" gift in the lineup.
A note on minis: they burn warm
Small jars heat up faster than big ones — that's physics, not a flaw. Burn Tsokolate in one-to-two-hour sessions, set it on a plate or coaster, and expect the glass to be warm to the touch. The first burn still matters: let the pool reach the edge (about an hour in this size) so the mini delivers its full 18–20 hours. Wick at 5 mm, as always — the complete routine is in Candle Care 101. The empty mini jar is the perfect salt cellar, or ₱20 off when it comes home to us.
Questions
Tsokolate chocolate scented candle: FAQ
Does Tsokolate smell like real chocolate?
It smells like tablea being whisked: dark cacao softened with coconut milk and a pinch of nutmeg. Rich, but not sugary like a dessert candle.
How long does a 4 oz candle burn?
About 18 to 20 hours. Minis burn a little warmer, so keep each burn to two or three hours and trim the wick before you relight.
Is Tsokolate good for giveaways or a small gift?
Yes. At ₱280 it's our most giftable price, and it fits easily in a gift set, a Christmas basket or a balikbayan box.
